Question by Celestial: How do I get rid of the market research pop up?
It pops up all the time and says I need to insert the market research disk. I’ve done an internet search and most people suggest uninstalling your hp printer and reinstalling it, which I would do if I still had the disk for my printer but I can’t find it. What are my other options?

ok i have cable hookup for phone and internet. I had a family member move in who has this thing called WebTv, Which does NOT take an ethernet connection. I called my cable service provider and they said i needed to get an ethernet to RJ45 Adapter. Which I cant find in my local stores. does anyone know where online I might find one of these and for cheap but fair price?

All ethernet cabling nowadays is RJ45. That’s the plug on the end that looks sort of like a phone plug. In olden times ethernet connected with something similar to the F connector on coax TV cables, but that was long ago.

Here’s a link to an old style 10 base 2 coax connector. Nowadays it’s 10/100/1000 Base T RJ45

Anti-spam software works in 2 main ways – first by checking with online lists of known spam source IPs, and second by scanning the content of the email and weighting everything it sees.

As to what’s best? Well, that depends on your point of view. There really is nothing that delivers 100% spam filtering with 0% false positives, but with a lot of time and training, many solutions can deliver quite acceptable results.

I have forwarded them to phishing…but I am still getting about 20 hits a day.

Lets say your are in the play land at a Mc Donald’s with your kids and while they are playing your are checking the your Email on your laptop one of the kids calls for you and you go to see what the problem is, it only takes a couple of seconds and your back , but your laptop is gone..

Absolutely. There’s a little slot in every laptop I know of so you can secure it with a security cable. At my work, a security cable is issued with every laptop. You can get a combination or keyed model, and you can use it to secure your laptop to a table, chair, etc. They are relatively cheap, and very effective as a deterrent to theft.

I want a new laptop in pink but one that is really pink not only the surface like the one from Dell. It should be not too expensive…for me its just important to have internet and a built-in webcam. Can you recommend one?

My current laptop is just chugging and I need something faster. It is an HP nc6000 with Intel Pentium M processor 725 – 1.6GHz, 2MB L2 cache, 400MHz Front Side Bus (FSB) and Intel 855PM Chipset. It has 1024-MB of (333-MHz) DDR SDRAM and a 60-GB (5400 rpm) hard drive.

I am looking to get something as powerful as I can so that when new programs come out, it will be able to handle them (such as windows Vista). I currently use it for programming (Oracle), as well as the standard MS Office and Internet use.

Get the 17″ MacBook Pro, with 2.16 GHz Intel Core Duo. And, it’s only one inch thin.

Unbelievably fast, incredibly beautiful. Only a Mac.

Plus, it runs Windows

I use the internet for chating (such as yahoo messenger, skype, Rediff Bol and chat websites), view porn videos, sometimes financial transaction through online, view websites for my professional updation etc. It should stop all the internet threats because of going through these websites because sometimes i also do financial transactions in this laptop.

All the major solutions are pretty good. Bitdefender, AVG, Avast, and Norton are especially good. No antivirus will protect against foolish actions by the user.

I am looking for an application that will do the same job as Google Maps but will not require a constant Internet connection.

I am interested for maps about greek cities and especially Thessaloniki.

Your machine could not store all the data that would be needed for more than few maps, and isolating that would be impossible. You do need the connection.
