they called me saying they had an opening in my area to work from home. they want $ 195 for a registration fee. i want to know if its legit. Can anyone tell me if its a scam or not?

SCAM!!!

1)Google never calls anyone.

2)Only Google service that pays you is Google Adsense.

3)Legitimate work from home sites do not charge you any fees because they pay YOU to do their work.

You can always do a Google or Yahoo search about that scam to know more about it.

I know absolutely nothing about computers, so I need to hear it in a simple answer – can I type and save a word document on the new Google Chromebook? I am talking about the new one they just started advertising, the $ 249 one.
I would really like to buy one, because it looks like it does exactly what I would need it to do (emails, youtube, etc.). But I would want to do my schoolwork on it, and would need word to write my papers.

No you can not. Chromebook is an internet based so you need internet to everything you do on you’r computer. You can download apps from the chrome market(link below). This is evrything you can have on the chromebook. So you can not install games like nfs, gta, cod and that stuff. Evrything have to be on the veb. And if you don’t have internet connection you are stuked, lost.

Google is renowned for making it difficult to reach a live person, with all the free services they offer they can’t afford customer service staff costs that paid services can.

Here’s their central support line.

Their site is heavily assaulted by spammers who obtain hundreds or thousands of accounts by automated means, that’s in part why they are tightening the user confirmation (I don’t like it either). You can vent in forums but there’s little chance of influencing the giant corporation.

I made a facebook page for my business. I then tried searching for it but when I locate the page, I have to log into facebook to view it. I would like to know if I can set up my page where anyone can view it even if they don’t have a facebook account. Is this possible? Google Voice gives you one number for all your phones, voicemail as easy as email, free US long distance, low rates on international calls, etc.

Sounds like an invasive waste of Google’s time. People look at websites. How difficult is that to determine?

We use Google Apps for Domains for email hosting, and leverage the ‘email lists’ (routings) feature quite a bit. We’ve built email lists with over 100 email recipients.

Is there a limit to the number of email recipients that can be attached to a single email list?
